Well, if you wanna be an officer, you gotta pass the PST. It’s a tough one - you gotta run 525m in 3 minutes and 35 seconds, keeping up with the bleeps at level 5 for four shuttles. No slacking off!
Warm-up: Before beginning the test, it is important to warm up with light aerobic activity for 5-10 minutes. This will help prepare your body for the physical demands of the test.
Speed: The speed of the bleep test increases gradually throughout the duration of the test, starting at 8.5 km/h and increasing by 0.5 km/h every minute until you can no longer keep up with it.
Levels: The bleep test consists of 20 levels, each level having a different speed and number of shuttles that must be completed before moving onto the next level.
Shuttles: During each level, you must complete a set number of shuttles back and forth between two lines that are 20 meters apart before you hear a beep indicating that it is time to move onto the next level or stop if you cannot keep up with it anymore
5 .Resting Periods: There are short resting periods between each level where you can catch your breath before continuing on to the next one
6 .Recording Results : It is important to record your results after completing a bleep test so that you can track your progress over time and measure how much improvement has been made
