Shuttle Runs: During the test, participants will be required to run back and forth between two lines that are 20 meters apart. This distance is known as a shuttle run and must be completed in time with the audio cues provided by the tester.
Audio Cues: The audio cues for this level of the beep test consist of a series of tones that increase in frequency as time progresses, indicating when each shuttle run should begin and end.
Level 12 Speed: At level 12, participants must complete each shuttle run within 8 seconds in order to progress to the next level of the test successfully.
Maximum Time Limit: Participants have a maximum time limit of 2 minutes and 30 seconds per shuttle run at this level before they are considered to have failed it and must stop running immediately thereafter.
Rest Periods: After every 5th shuttle run, there will be a rest period lasting 15 seconds during which no running is required from participants before they can continue on with their next set of runs for that particular level of testing
