Ah man, 7th grade fitness tests - talk about a blast from the past! I remember taking mine back in the day and it was no walk in the park. From push-ups to sit-ups, it was a real test of endurance. But hey, that’s what growing up is all about - pushing yourself and seeing how far you can go. So if you’re getting ready to take your 7th grade fitness test, don’t sweat it! Just do your best and you’ll be golden.

What Is The 7Th Grade Fitness Test? [Solved]

The PFT, aka the FITNESSGRAM®, is a must for California students in grades five, seven and nine. It’s all about helping them get into the habit of staying active for life. So let’s get moving!

  1. Push-Ups: Students must complete as many push-ups as possible in one minute. This test measures upper body strength and endurance.

  2. Sit-Ups: Students must complete as many sit-ups as possible in one minute. This test measures abdominal strength and endurance.

  3. Pull-Ups: Students must complete as many pull-ups as possible in one minute, with or without assistance from a partner or coach. This test measures upper body strength and endurance.

  4. Flexed Arm Hang: Students must hang from a bar for the longest amount of time possible with their chin above the bar, without assistance from a partner or coach. This test measures upper body strength and endurance, specifically grip strength and shoulder stability/strength ratio

  5. Mile Run/Walk: Students must run or walk 1 mile (4 laps around the track) in the fastest time possible without stopping to rest during the run/walk period of time allotted for this event (usually 10 minutes). This tests aerobic capacity, muscular endurance, speed, agility, coordination and overall physical fitness level

6 . Shuttle Run: Students must run back and forth between two lines placed 20 feet apart for 30 seconds while keeping up with an audio beep that increases in frequency over time; this tests agility, speed, coordination and overall physical fitness level

Taking the 7th grade fitness test can be a nerve-wracking experience! It’s important to stay focused and give it your all. You’ll be tested on your strength, endurance, and flexibility.
